FAQ

Which tax year and region does this use?
It uses the 2024/25 England income tax bands (20% from £12,571–£50,270, 40% to £125,140, 45% above) and employee National Insurance (8% from £12,571–£50,270, 2% above). Scotland has different income tax rates.
What does it leave out?
It ignores pension contributions, student loan repayments, and the personal allowance taper above £100,000. These can materially change your real take-home pay.
